The Port of Frederikshavn, being a commercial port, functions as a service centre for trade and industry in Frederikshavn and Northern Jutland. The Port is the base of ferry traffic to Sweden (Gothenburg) , Norway (Oslo) – and to the island of Laesoe

The Port of Frederikshavn has a total of 6 km of quays including 5 ferry berths, 1 railway ferry berth and 3 Ro-Ro berths at its disposal.

The water depth in the harbour is between 7 and 8 metres.

The port covers a total area of 1,730,000 m2, of which the water area comprises 540,000 m2.

The Port of Frederikshavn has a modern and efficient infrastructure, including warehouses, storage space, cargo handling equipment and a repair shipyard.

Logistically the users of the port and their customers profit from the easy access to the European motorway and railway networks.
