Docks

Between the ferry harbour and the freight harbour, a shipyard is situated, equipped with two dry docks and cranes of up to 100 tonnes lifting capacity:

• Dry dock 3 is 171 metres long, 25.4 metres wide, and can take ships with a draft of up to 6.3 metres.
• Dry dock 4 is 216 metres long and 34 metres wide, and can take ships with a dead weight tonnage up to 60,000 tonnes and a draft of up to 7.3 metres.

All kinds of ship- and engine-repairs can be carried out.

At the entrance to the North Harbour is situated a shipyard with mobile cranes up to 225 tonnes lifting capacity and two floating docks with the below specifications:

• Floating dock 1:
   Length:  110 metres
   Width:   20.4 metres
   Draft   5.3 metres
   Lifting capacity:  3,000 tonnes
• Floating dock 2:
   Length:  135 metres
   Width:   21.5 metres
   Draft:   6.5 metres
   Lifting capacity:  4,000 tonnes

In the North Harbour, 2 small yards and boat builder’s yard are situated, with building slips up to 60 metres length and 12 metres width, and with slipways with capacities up to 500 tonnes deadweight

In the North Harbour you also find the auction hall with icefactory, Fishing sheds, fillet factories and freeze/cold storage warehouses.
